Welcome to the Elizabeth Branch YMCA
The YMCA of Eastern Union County’s Elizabeth Branch has been serving the Elizabeth community since its establishment in 1900. Dedicated to providing programs that build strong kids, strong families and strong communities, the YMCA is investing in three key areas: members, staff and facility.
By focusing on these areas, our future plans include a complete renovation of our Main Building, in order to bring you increased Health/Wellness and Youth and Teen programs. Committed to our mission, the YMCA is driven to providing programs that strengthen the spirit, mind and body for all. We embrace this concept and aim to incorporate the YMCA’s traditional values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility in all of our programs.

Elizabeth Branch YMCA Facilities
- Josephine & John Jacobson Child Care Center-11,000 sq. ft. new facility located in the heart of Midtown Elizabeth at 16-20 Jefferson Avenue
- Sierra Gardens Apartments at 144 Madison Avenue-Affordable Housing
- Transitional Housing Apartments
- After-School Programs in eight Elizabeth Public Schools
- Teen Center at Main Branch
- Fitness Center with Free Weights and Cardio Room at Main Branch
- Locker rooms, showers, sauna and steam room at Main Branch
Guest Policy/Fees
Guests can visit the Elizabeth Branch YMCA anytime during hours of operation. All guests must be accompanied by a member and will be required to show ID and fill out a guest waiver. All new/renewed members have 3 free guest passes in a calendar year and 3 to purchase for a total of 6 guest passes yearly.
AWAY GUESTS: The Elizabeth Branch YMCA honors the YMCA of the USA’s away guest policy. If you have a current YMCA membership from a branch outside of a 50 mile radius, you may use our facility free of charge for six visits per calendar year. Each additional visit will be $5.00.

Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance is available for families or individuals in need. Pick up an application at the Welcome Center. The application must be filled out completely with the necessary information. You will receive an answer as soon as the application is processed.
Credit/Refund Policy
No refunds are issued for programs or memberships.
