Summer Day Camp (Ages 5-14)

The YMCA has been providing young people with a positive camping experience for more than 100 years. YMCA Day Camp is a perfect option for parents seeking a camp program for their children that, is both fun and rewarding, as all of our programs emphasize character development and help teach youth the values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility.

YMCA day camp staff model positive behavior and aim to develop the “whole” child through fun, physical, and creative activities such as arts and crafts, fine arts, swimming, enrichment activities, field trips, sports, games and much more.

Camp is based out of the Elizabeth Branch, Monday through Friday, from 8:30am-5:00pm. Pre-Camp is available from 7:00am-8:30am and Post-Camp is available from 5:00pm-6:30pm for an additional cost.

Discovery Camp	For Children entering grades K-1 in fall '09
Explorer Camp	For Children entering grades 2-4 in fall '09
Adventure Camp	For Children entering grades 5-9 in fall '09

Weekly enrichment and recreational trips are scheduled throughout NJ, NY and PA. Traditional camp activities include sports and games, arts & crafts, performing arts, theme days, nature activities and special events. Additional trip fees will be charged for some trips. Lunch is not provided.

Subsidized sliding scale slots are available through the NJ Division of Family Development that will help a family in need of quality child care at an affordable price. Community Coordinated Child Care Vouchers accepted. Scholarships and Financial Assistance are also available in assisting with payment of camp fees.
