SWIM LESSON UPGRADE

The Gateway Family YMCA is launching an updated swim lesson program starting with the Fall I session, beginning September 5th. As America’s Swim Instructor, the Y is the most accessible community resource to prevent drowning and encourage a lifelong enjoyment of swimming—teaching more than one million kids a year swimming and water safety skills. Registration for Fall I programs begin August 21st at the Rahway Branch and the Five Points Branch, located in Union, NJ.

Rahway Branch Hosts Art Workshop Series Art Exhibit

On May 10th, The Gateway Family YMCA – Rahway Branch hosted an Art Workshop Series Art Exhibit in partnership with the Cerebral Palsy League, Cranford, NJ in celebration of the artists enrolled in the specialized arts program.

NATIONAL SENIOR HEALTH AND FITNESS DAY

The Gateway Family YMCA joins an estimated 1,000 local groups to celebrate the 24th Annual National Senior Health & Fitness Day (NSHFD) on May 31st, 2017. As an official host site, the Y will hold information sessions and community classes on the 31st centered on the theme, “With Movement…There’s Improvement!” On this day, The Gateway Family YMCA will join with an estimated 100,000 seniors across the country expected to help promote active, healthy lifestyles through physical fitness, good nutrition and preventive care. NORTHFIELD BANK FOUNDATION SUPPORTS YMCA

The Northfield Bank Foundation presented a generous donation to The Gateway Family YMCA – Rahway Branch, 1564 Irving Street, Rahway. The $15,000 donation was presented by Diane Senerchia, Executive Director and Elsa M. Muniz, Vice President of Northfield Bank and YMCA Board Member, to Melynda A. Mileski, EVP/COO and Rodger D. Koerber, Rahway Branch Executive, The Gateway Family YMCA. The donation provided supports the 7th Grade initiative at the Rahway Branch.
