Membership Information

The YMCA of Eastern Union County, Rahway Branch welcomes people of all ages. We offer several different membership options for you and your family (See schedule below). Memberships are valid for the Rahway Branch only and are not transferable. Use of the facility is dependent upon your age and what type of membership you purchase. Family swim and gym time is available with all Full memberships. Group Exercise classes and Youth/Teen Strength are included in Full membership. Youth/Teen specialty classes and swim lessons have additional fees.

Financial Assistance

Membership Descriptions

Full Membership

Adult and Family Full Membership includes Cardio Center, Health and Wellbeing Center, weight room, family & lap swim, yoga, Pilates, open gymnasium, basketball, group exercise classes, aquatic fitness classes and reduced fees for swimming lessons.

Youth & Teen Full Membership includes family swim*, open gymnasium, teen nights, youth & teen strength training classes, group exercise classes**, reduced class fees for swimming lessons and specialty group exercise classes.

 *Youth 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult on the pool deck gym and in the locker rooms. Children wearing “Bubbles” must be accompanied by an adult in the water.
**Members 12 and up can participate in Group Exercise Classes.

Program Membership

Entitles member to register for classes/programs, childcare, and summer camp. All classes/programs are at an additional fee. (The Cardio, Health and Wellbeing Center, Weight Room, Family & lap swim are not included with Program Membership.)

All Inclusive Membership

Convenience and Flexibility – One Membership – 3 Locations

A New Membership Option is available. Flexibility and convenience is now available for members. The YMCA of Eastern Union County will now be offering an ALL Inclusive membership. This membership will entitle you to the benefits of all three of our branches – Five Points, Rahway and Elizabeth. If you would like the opportunity to work out at Five Points, swim at Rahway and take classes at Elizabeth or any combination you can come up with, then this is the membership for you. 

All inclusive memberships are subject to the same membership policies as all other YMCA memberships

Joiner's Fee

A joiner’s fee is applicable on all new memberships and memberships that have expired for more than 30 days. The joiner’s fee is an investment in the future of your YMCA, monies paid provide financial assistance for qualified individuals and to fund additional equipment purchases to ensure that the facility meets the needs of all members.

A.W.A.Y Guest Policy

A.W.A.Y stands for “Always Welcome At YMCA’s.” This program entitles YMCA members privileges at hundreds of YMCA’s across the country, according to their policies. If you have a current YMCA membership at a branch that is located outside a 50-mile radius, the Rahway Branch will allow you to use our facility up to six times per calendar year free of charge. Each additional visit will be subject to a $5.00 guest fee.

Payment Options

Annual Membership

Members can elect to select our annual membership option. Annual memberships are paid in full at the time of registration and expire 1-year from the date of payment.

Monthly Checking & Credit Card Draft

• Monthly draft is a payment plan that allows a member to pay for their membership on a perpetual basis in equal, monthly payments that are automatically deducted from a checking account or credit card.
• Automatic monthly payments are drafted automatically on the 5th of each month unless the 5th is a holiday or weekend. In this case, the payment is drafted on the next business day.
• Members will be given a 30-day written notification in the case of a fee increase.
• Draft memberships are continuous and do not expire. You may cancel your perpetual membership at any time by providing the YMCA with written notification no later than 30 days in advance of final draft date.

Credit & Refund Policy

Refunds are not offered for classes, programs, or memberships. Requests for credit will be considered when four (4) or more classes within a program session have been missed due to illness. Credit requests must be in writing and accompanied by a dated doctor’s note covering the date of the absence. Classes cancelled due to weather-related emergency closings will not be rescheduled.
